An Impermeable Bale Wrap

Enviro™ Wrap is a strong, tough, and impermeable degradable stretch film for wrapping municipal solid waste (MSW) bales. It controls blowing litter, odors, disease vectors and leachate and produces a rigid, clean, odor- and leachate-free bale. Handling, storage and transportation of MSW bales now become easy and cost-effective.

A Degradable Alternative Daily Cover

Enviro™ Wrap is also an alternative daily cover (ADC) in balefills. It satisfies the regulatory requirements of many countries for controlling blowing litter, odors, fires, disease vectors, and scavenging when the waste is placed on a landfill. No additional cover is required. With EPI's pro-degradant additive, Enviro™ Wrap is degradable in landfills. It does not require removal when the waste is placed on the landfill.

Enviro™ Wrap starts to degrade when it is exposed to heat, sunlight, and/or mechanical stress. Any one of these environmental factors is sufficient to trigger the degradation process. Upon burial, Enviro™ Wrap will continue to degrade by the heat of waste degradation and the stress inside the landfill. It will become brittle and fragmented, thus allowing biogas and leachate to flow to the collection systems.
